# Referrals

Referrals — **growing the pack** — let you earn from the hunters you bring in.

## How it works

* Share your **referral code** (every hunter gets one).
* When someone joins through your code and earns points, you earn an **override** — a percentage of their points, paid to you.
* It's **onchain and sybil-resistant**: no activity from your invitees means no override. You earn when they actually trade, not just sign up.

## Why it's strong

* The override is **additive** — it doesn't reduce your invitee's points.
* Recruiters who bring active hunters compound: every hunter they bring is more override.
* Combined with [tiers](broken://pages/58b95d4339fef0ae90f466bfaa94967e8b4ffe01) and hunt cards, recruiting is itself a way to climb.

## Getting your code

Open **Grow the pack** in the app to reveal your code, then share it anywhere — your audience, your group chats, your followers.

{% hint style="info" %}
Following Hyperlynx on social is never required to earn. Referrals are on-chain; social is just where you find people to refer.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://hyperlynx.gitbook.io/hyperlynx-docs/referrals.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
